Brexit discussion puts radio talk show caller to sleep

Not the traditional goal of a radio show … putting the audience to sleep.
But that’s exactly what happened during a BBC Radio 5 live debate on Brexit.

Having waited 35 minutes to give his opinion, Joey from Bournemouth missed his big chance for national radio glory and instead … can be heard snoring.
On the surface potentially the death of radio, but the presenters save it in a delightful exchange ending with a line for the ages when Stephen Nolan turns to Dotun Adebyo and says: “We’ve put the man to sleep!”
