Since the age of eight, Elise, now 25, has suffered with a "debilitating" condition known as hidradenitis suppurativa.
In layman's terms it's a painful, long-term skin condition that causes abscesses and scarring on the skin.

"The lesions burst. I get it under my arms, in my groin, my legs my lady bits and under my belly," Elise told cameras.
"They're really painful."
In an episode of The Bad Skin Clinic – which you can watch for free on 9Now – Elise sought the help of Dr. Emma Craythorne, a London dermatologist whose mission it is to change the lives of those impeded by the most complex skin conditions.

Elise's mother Nikki also suffers from the condition, as did her mother.
Having passed on the disease genetically Nikki admitted she feels responsible.
"I do feel it's my fault," Nikki said as she wiped tears away.

"Elise's has been far worse than me. Under her arms is horrendous.
"It's just something you have to learn to live with but it's really really painful and debilitating."
Elise, her mother and her grandmother suffer from the condition, but Elise's case is by far the worst. 9Now
Nikki described the pain like a "hot screwdriver screwing into you".
While Elise has been told in the past that losing weight would help, she said that solution poses a "catch 22" as she is unable to exercise due to her sores.
"If I go out walking, even for a casual walk, within 20 to 30 minutes, I'm limping because there's a lump that's come up or a lump that I didn't realise was there and I've aggravated it," she added.
Elisa's mother Nikki felt guilty for passing the condition onto her daughter. 9Now
On top of that, Elise's romantic life has taken a hit due to her condition.
"I think dating has been difficult for Elise because I think most people would run for the hills as they took one look at it," Nikki told cameras.
And as a hairdresser, Elise fears that if she let the condition get any worse she wouldn't be able to work. As it stands her range of motion is limited and she's "had to learn to adapt".

While Elise already knew that she had hidradenitis suppurativa, a visit to Dr. Emma revealed that there was hope for her.
Dr. Emma labelled Elise's an "extreme case" and having tried many medications before, Elise was in the right category to undergo a biological treatment.
"The disease needs to be at a certain level before you're offered it, it's not something for everybody," Dr. Emma explained.
But Dr. Emma warned the treatment came with serious risks.
Dr. Emma said there was hope for Elise, but it didn't come without risks. 9Now
"It can increase the risk of cancer and it can cause problems within your own immunity," she said.
Dr. Emma encouraged Elise to weigh up the pros and cons but the decision wasn't clear.
