Ally Langdon holds back tears in 'confronting' TV return as she sparks a conversation the whole nation needs to have

Australia needs to have a talk – and Ally Langdon and Dr. Justin Coulson will be leading that conversation in a new season of Parental Guidance.

Our kids are growing up in a world we never imagined with increasing concerns around AI, online grooming and mental health.

Parental Guidance premieres Monday June 30 on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Parental Guidance will tackle those issues alongside eight new Aussie families over four powerful nights of TV, premiering Monday June 30 at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

"Take a breath, this is confronting content," Ally tells the parents in a preview you can watch above.

As simulations show first-hand the "emerging risks" our kids face, parents are in shock and in one scene Ally holds back tears.

The special event series of Parental Guidance will unpack four major issues facing our kids including screentime, peer pressure, body image and mental health.

But like any important conversation, not everybody is going to have the same opinion.

In some instances, parents with opposing views will go head-to-head on some very controversial topics.

"We should be very careful not to feminise our males," one father says as another parent's jaw drops.

No matter what side of the fence you sit on on some of these issues, what's important is that Parental Guidance will have some eye-opening conversations about how best to support our kids.

"We're diving into the biggest parenting mindfields yet," Ally says.
