1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton shares news of family tragedy in touching online tribute: 'Joy and companionship over 20 years'
1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has taken to social media to announce the devastating passing of their family dog of 20 years.
"My mom's beloved Baby Girl passed away the other day. She has given my mom so much joy and companionship over the last 20 years," Tammy wrote.

"That's not a typo. 20 years Baby Girl has been with my momma. Please whisper a prayer for her and our family. The devil surely has been busy."
In a joint post with her sister Amanda and brother Chris, Tammy penned the tribute alongside a picture of Baby Girl with her mother Darlene.

Fans flocked to the comment section of the post to show their support for the Slaton family.
"20 years is such a blessing! I'm sorry for her loss. I know how heartbreaking it is. My thoughts and prayers go out to her," one follower said.
While another wrote: "Aww so sorry! Fur babies are our family. I lost mine of 14 years a year ago. It leaves a huge hole in your heart."

Tammy first rose to international fame in 2020, when 1000-Lb Sisters premiered.
The show follows the weight loss journey of Tammy and her sister Amy who had a combined weight of more than 1000lbs (453.5kg).
Over the span of the series, fans have watched Tammy and Amy's struggles and triumphs as they embarked on a mammoth journey to feel healthier in themselves.

Since the start of the series, Tammy has lost more than 500lbs (226kgs), with the TV star taking to her social media to share healthy eating, exercise and mental health tips that have assisted her in her weight loss journey in a bid to be an example to others.
With a combined social media following of more than 1.5 million, the sisters have catapulted from their humble hometown of Dixon, Kentucky to global fame.
