1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton makes sexuality admission as she reveals secret relationship

1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has an exciting new update regarding her love life – but she's been keeping it a secret from her family.

In PEOPLE's sneak peek of the new season of 1000-Lbs. Sisters, Tammy revealed she is dating someone new following the death of her husband Caleb Willingham in June 2023.

"I have been seeing someone for the past couple months and it's going pretty well," Tammy began. "The person I'm dating is a woman."

The 38-year-old, who previously came out as pansexual, shared that she wants to take a new approach to dating.

"After Caleb's passing, I just don't want to be with a man anymore," Tammy told cameras.

While Tammy was excited for this new chapter she wasn't sure how her family would take her relationship news.

"So I haven't told my family because my family's gonna have something to say about it," Tammy said.

"I don't know how my family's gonna react when I tell them I'm seeing a woman."

Tammy has been very open about her sexuality in the past.

In a 2021 episode of 1000-Lbs. Sisters, she came out to her then boyfriend Jerry as pansexual saying she "would date anybody, whether they're transgender, straight, gay."

Then in January 2024, months after Caleb's passing, Tammy shared a new update with fans about her dating preferences.

"I was saying I was pansexual, but I kinda stopped messing with guys after my husband passed," she said in a TikTok video. "So, I'm like a lesbian."

Tammy met Caleb Willingham in 2022 while in a food addiction rehabilitation centre. Caleb had had also embarked on a weightloss journey of his own.

The pair were engaged in October of that year and were married in November 2022. 

It was reported they split after five months of marriage, but there was never any official confirmation.

Sadly, Caleb Willingham passed away on June 30, 2023.

Tammy confirmed the news by posting a sweet tribute to Caleb on social media. 

"Rip sweet angel you will forever be missed and loved so much thank you Caleb for showing me real love and happiness ❤️❤️," she wrote.  

Tammy revealed she was at home in Kentucky when she learned about Caleb's death via text from a friend.
