No 'obvious' cause of death observed as pair found dead in bed on yacht
Police are working to determine what happened to a man and woman who were found dead on a boat in Sydney overnight.
Officers arrived at the 14-metre yacht moored at Tunks Park, Cammeray at 9pm yesterday after a friend of the pair expressed welfare concerns to police.
They found Peter Ray and Lixen Wang, aged in their early 60s, with no external injuries or "obvious" cause of death on a bed inside the yacht, NSW Police Detective Inspector Siobhan Munro said.

Munro said the attending officers called Fire and Rescue as a precaution, as there was a gas-like fume onboard the yacht.
While the circumstances around the deaths are unknown, police said they would investigate every possible angle, including the gas-like smell.
"At this stage, we don't actually know what's happened...nothing is being discounted at this time," Munro said.
"We are treating it as suspicious purely because the manner of death is unknown, there's no evidence at this stage of domestic violence or anything like that."
A number of items were taken for forensic examination, including two cars parked near the boat, belonging to the man and woman.
The yacht is owned by Ray, police said.

Ray and Wang were spending Monday night on the boat, police were told.
Concerns were raised on Wednesday when the pair did not return.
Police said both the man and woman are from Sydney.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
