Men sought after vans drive into shopping centre in Sydney

A hunt is underway for four men after a ram raid in Sydney's west earlier this year.

Shortly before 4.20am on Friday, March 15, two white vans drove through the entrance of a shopping centre on Merrylands Road, Greystanes.

The four occupants of the vans tried to remove an ATM.

The vans drove away shortly before police arrived.

Nothing was stolen, but a considerable amount of damage was caused.

Late that afternoon, the vans were found on Daryl and Paton streets in Merrylands West.

Police say three of the four men were seen entering a silver Hyundai i30 hatchback on Paton Street at 4.29am that morning.

One of the van drivers is described as being of African appearance, 180cm tall, with a medium build.

He wore a black hooded jumper, a black face covering, black gloves, black pants, and black/white sneakers.

His passenger is described as being of African appearance, 185cm tall, with a thin build.

Three of the men were seen entering a car. NSW Police

He wore a black hooded jumper with white stripes on his chest and sleeve, a black face covering, black gloves, black pants, and light blue sneakers.

The second driver is described as being of Middle Eastern appearance, 175cm tall, of medium build, with a beard. He wore a blue baseball cap, a black jumper with a white triangle motif on his chest, black gloves, black pants, and white sneakers.

His passenger is described as being about 175cm tall, and of a thin build.
