A teenager has been killed in a high-speed crash on Adelaide's Northern Expressway.

Police and emergency services responded to calls at about 10.40am yesterday after a Toyota ute towing a trailer collided with a guard barrier and pole in Angle Vale.

The 18-year-old driver of the vehicle died at the scene.
