Brisbane school removes Facebook page after bullying video goes viral
A video of a deaf Brisbane schoolboy has gone viral on social media, prompting the school where it happened to deactivate its Facebook account.
Cavan Johnston, 14, is taunted in the video by a group of students at Victoria Point High School before one of the children rips his hearing aid off his head.
Cavan was born deaf and requires the hearing aids to attend school.

After the video went viral, Victoria Point State High School was flooded with so much hate mail it was forced to deactivate its presence on social media.
Erin Johnston, Cavan's mother, told 9News she could only bare to watch the video once.
"My whole body shook with anger and sadness," Ms Johnston told 9News.

"No kid deserves to go to school and have this kind of treatment thrown at them every day."
9News contacted the school for comment, which referred the matter to the Education Department.
In a statement, the department said "The school is looking into the incident".
