Lindsay James Kohn and Jillian Greer Francis appeared in court on Wednesday charged with murder.
Emergency services were called to the address on Lubach Street, Beenleigh about 4.45pm.
Police say Murray had invited Francis, 43, to live with him temporarily about four months ago while she sought more permanent accommodation.
Francis then invited Kohn, 47, to also stay with her at the property, police allege.

Detective Inspector Ian Galpin said Murray had recently asked both to leave his home on several occasions, but they refused.
On Tuesday afternoon, having just returned home from work, it’s alleged Murray found himself locked out of his own house.
Police claim he bashed the door down to get in before an alleged fight began.
Neighbours reported hearing screaming, including calls of, “I need your help, I need your help. Andy has just been stabbed.”
Police allege the pair stabbed Murray to death.
A neighbour came into the house and disarmed Francis, broke up the fight, and provided first aid to Murray, police said.
Emergency services performed CPR, but Murray was declared dead at the scene.
Police took both accused into custody from the scene in separate ambulance vehicles.
Kohn has been charged with one count of murder.
Francis has been charged with one count each of murder, intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and breaching a domestic violence order.
Galpin said the intent to cause grievous bodily harm charge related to Francis allegedly attacking the neighbour who came to intervene.

“I’ve known him for the last 20 years. We’ve been close mates. He’d do anything for anyone. He was always out to help anyone.”
