Post-mortem to shed light after man’s body found in Brisbane park
A post-mortem examination is under way after the body of a man was found in Brisbane’s north on Sunday.
Police combed the scene in Seventh Brigade Park off Kittyhawk Drive in Chermside on Monday morning where the body of the 48-year-old man was found.
There were extensive wounds to various part of the man’s body.
Officers have been seen carrying evidence bags from the park as they try to piece together what happened.
It’s understood there are several people sleeping rough in a number of hammocks and tents in the park, which borders one of Brisbane’s largest shopping centres.
It’s also close to the area where a man was mauled by two dogs on Friday night, sparking a day-long search for the animals.
Nine.com.au understands police do not currently believe the animals are linked to the body found on Sunday, and the investigation into the man’s cause of death is ongoing.
