Two suffer burns in Sydney metho fire

Two Sydney boys have been seriously burnt after playing with methylated spirits.

The boys were playing with a bottle of the flammable liquid when it caught alight in Eastwood on Wednesday.

A 14-year-old boy suffered burns to 30 per cent of his body, including to his chest and legs, and another boy suffered burns to about 10 per cent of his body.

They are being treated at the Children's Hospital at Westmead.
