Man fighting for life, eight others injured, after Sydney horror crash
A multi-vehicle crash in south-west Sydney has left a man fighting for life and eight other people injured.
The pile-up happened just after 11pm on Sunday when a BYD ute collided head-on with a Lexus SUV, which then smashed into a Mazda sedan on the Hume Highway at Cabramatta.

The man driving the SUV – aged in his 50s – was trapped in the wreckage before being freed by firefighters and rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
The male driver of the ute was treated at the scene by paramedics and was hospitalised.
One of his passengers – an eight-year-old child who suffered facial injuries – and two other children with gashes from seatbelts required hospital treatment.

A man driving the Mazda and his three occupants – a woman and two teenage girls – were taken to hospitals as precaution.
A crime scene has been set up and police, including crash investigation experts, have begun inquiries.
