Three people killed in two NSW car crashes

Three people have died in two car accidents in NSW, one of which caused a bushfire.

A 28-year-old man died after a single-car crash near Coffs Harbour about 6pm on Monday and two people died in a crash involving two trucks on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old was rushed to hospital after the crash in Sandy Beach but died shortly after he arrived.

The second crash occurred on Mount Harris Road and Irrigation Way in Stanbridge, near Griffith, when two trucks collided and both caught fire about 2.20pm.

The fire spread to nearby bushland and is being contained by the Rural Fire Service.

Both truck drivers died at the scene but have not been formally identified.
