Sydney woman arrested for Chanel theft

A woman has been charged over the theft of luxury clothes worth $3000 from designer clothing stores in Sydney's eastern suburbs.
Police allege the woman stole a skirt from a Paddingon store on Glenmore Road, before taking a Chanel dress, embossed with pearls, from another nearby shop on William Street last month.
The 56-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday at a Concord unit - where police also found cannabis. She is due to face Burwood Local Court on Friday, charged with drug possession and six counts of shoplifting.
