Sydney's Lord Mayor seeks another term

Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore wants to extend her 12-year reign.

Ms Moore, who has been Lord Mayor since 2004, says she is seeking re-election to ensure Sydney remains independent, progressive and community-led.

"The City Council that I've led over the past 12 years, consults, does the research, makes clear commitments and then takes action," she said, declaring her intentions on Friday.
