Sydney man charged with child grooming

A Sydney man has been charged with child grooming offences following online conversations he had with police officers posing as a 14-year-old girl.

Officers from the Sex Crimes Squad set up the ruse in January after receiving information about the 23-year-old Granville man's online activity.

Police allege he made highly indecent and sexually explicit remark to officers assuming the identity of an underage girl.

He was arrested on Wednesday with police seizing computers and electronic storage devices at his home.

He has been granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on April 21.
