Boy, 5, dies after hit by truck in Sydney

A five-year-old boy has died after being hit by a truck in Sydney's southwest.

Emergency services were called to a trucking transport yard in Picton just after 5pm on Friday.

The boy was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he later died from his injuries, police said.

The 38-year-old male driver was uninjured and was taken to the same hospital for mandatory testing.
