Two pugs stolen from home safely returned to desperate owner
Two black pugs have been returned to their owner after being snatched from their home in Sydney's inner south.
The owner, who has not been identified, alleged six-year-old Olive and 11-year-old Monty were taken from their front yard on Alexander Street in Alexandria about 3.30am on Sunday.
They plastered posters offering a $5000 reward all over town in an effort to find them.

"My two pugs were stolen at 3.30am on Sunday 23rd November," the poster reads.
"$5000 reward if they are found and safely returned to their loving home."
CCTV captured a man leaning over the fence at the time the pugs were taken.
Olive and Monty were then dropped off a few minutes away from their home before 10.30pm yesterday.
Police said the dogs were uninjured.
The owner said it has been an "insane last 48 hours", with alleged threats and red herrings, but thanked the community for their help.
"An incredible thank you to everybody in this community who shared, commented and spread the word, every bit genuinely helped create a sense of urgency for the culprits to give back the dogs," they said.
"You folks are the absolute best."

Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are looking to speak to a man seen in the area at the time of the alleged theft.
He is described as appearing Caucasian with a large build.
He was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt with a white branding logo on the front and a black and white stripe pattern in the centre of the back, dark-coloured shorts, a black baseball cap, and tan work boots.
The man was also carrying a blue, tan and white coloured shopping bag.
