Policeman punched at Sydney train station

A police officer has allegedly been punched in the head at a Sydney train station.

The officer was hospitalised after allegedly being attacked at Strathfield Railway Station about 4pm on Saturday.

Another officer suffered neck injuries after chasing the 26-year-old alleged offender, who was arrested a short distance away from the station and is assisting police with their inquiries.
