NSW farmer's partner denies his murder

The partner of NSW grazier Mathew Dunbar will face a murder trial after she formally denied killing him.

Dunbar, 42, was reported unresponsive at his home at Walcha in the Northern Tablelands about 2am on August 2, 2017.

He was treated by paramedics but died at the scene, police said in 2017.

Funeral notices stated Dunbar was "deeply loved" by his partner Natasha Beth Darcy and others.

Mourners were asked to give donations to a mental health not-for-profit organisation in lieu of flowers.

Darcy, 44, was arrested months later and charged with his murder, to which she pleaded not guilty in the NSW Supreme Court on Friday.

A trial is scheduled to begin in Sydney on June 1, 2020.
