NSW driver charged over passenger's death

A 19-year-old driver has been charged after his passenger was killed in a single car crash in north-east NSW.

The 20-year-old passenger died after the men's dual-cab ute veered off the road near Gunnedah, rolled and smashed into a tree early on Saturday morning.

The driver has been charged with dangerous and negligent driving occasioning death and bailed to appear at Tamworth Local Court on Monday.
