NSW crash leaves one dead, two injured

A man has died and two people have been injured in a crash in northwest NSW.

The 30-year-old man died at the scene after two cars collided on the Kamilaroi Highway, north of Quirindi.

A 61-year-old man was airlifted to Tamworth Base Hospital and a 58-year-old woman taken there by ambulance.

The highway was closed for a number of hours on Wednesday evening.
