Man stabbed during argument in Berala

Two men have been charged over a stabbing in Sydney's west that left another man in hospital with a knife wound to the hip.

Police said a 47-year-old man was allegedly attacked by a 35-year-old man after getting into an argument with him, a 27-year-old man and a woman in Berala early on Thursday morning.

Officers arrested the 27-year-old man shortly after. He's accused of disposing of the weapon in a bin and providing a false version of events.

The 35-year-old, who had an outstanding conviction warrant, was arrested at Berala railway station on Thursday afternoon and has since been charged with recklessly cause grievous bodily harm.
