Man injures head after 5-metre tree fall

A man has suffered serious head injuries after falling five metres from a tree in Sydney's west.

The 43-year-old was trimming branches at his Fairfield property on Tuesday when he fell onto concrete, hitting a fence along the way.

He's been taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
