Man charged with stabbing neighbour in NSW

A NSW south coast man has been charged with stabbing his neighbour.

A 49-year-old man was stabbed with an unknown weapon in the driveway of his unit block on South Street in Batemans Bay about 7pm on Thursday. He suffered three stab wounds to his abdomen and back and required surgery.

Following investigations, police arrested the victim's neighbour, a 51-year-old man, about 6.40pm on Saturday at an address on Old Princes Highway, Batemans Bay. He was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and recklessly cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear at Batemans Bay Local Court on Sunday.
