Man accused of throwing grenade during Sydney home attack
A man faces court today over allegedly using guns and grenades to attack a home in north-west Sydney.
Two men wielding a sledgehammer attempted to force their way into the property at Loura Street in Tallawong on Thursday, November 27.
One of the men allegedly attempted to shoot at the home, but when his gun failed to fire, threw a stun grenade inside.

The pair then retrieved another firearm from their car and fired two shots at the house.
The two occupants of the home were uninjured.
The alleged attackers drove off in a Mazda CX5, before crashing it on Ashburton Crescent and running away.
They were tracked by the police dog squad to First Ponds Creek, where officers found the men's clothing, including a balaclava, hooded jumper, pants and gloves.
During a search of the vehicle, police seized a live grenade, two firearms – including a loaded one - a magazine, a mobile phone and other items including bleach and clothing.

Police bomb disposal experts and Australian Defence Force personnel were called to safely remove the grenade.
Following inquiries to identify and find the men, about 10.15am yesterday, detectives arrested a 19-year-old man in Austral.
He was later charged with firearms, burglary and driving offences.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in court today.
Inquiries are continuing.
