Kiesha's killer appeal rejected

The man who left six-year-old Kiesha Weippeart to die then helped burn and bury her body has lost his bid to appeal his sentence.

Robert Smith was jailed for at least 12 years in May 2013 after pleading guilty to the manslaughter of and being an accessory to the murder of his six-year-old stepdaughter.

Two months later his former partner Kristi Abrahams was jailed for at least 16 years for the murder of Kiesha.
