Chilling baby monitor video captures terrifying Sydney gun ordeal
A man accused of pulling a sawn-off shotgun on a couple in Sydney has evaded police for another day, as new footage shows the terrifying incident that sent an entire neighbourhood into lockdown.
The armed man remained on the run on Saturday after allegedly threatening a couple in Dulwich Hill on Friday morning before setting their stolen van alight and taking off.

A baby monitor captured a loud bang during the ordeal, while witnesses recalled frantic warnings ringing out across the street.
“Everyone stay back, he’s got a gun,” a person could be heard yelling.
The confrontation began shortly before 10.30am after the couple spotted their van, which had allegedly been stolen days earlier, and followed it into a car park near Williams Parade and Constitution Road.
They boxed the van in and confronted the man behind the wheel while waiting for police to arrive.
“They said they boxed him in the car ... and they were getting the police to come and get him, and the next minute he’s pulled out a sawn-off shotgun,” a witness said.
Another resident watched the confrontation unfold from her balcony as the couple realised the man was allegedly armed.
“He points the gun at them, and they back up, you know, start just screaming, and then they all sprint down the road,” she said.

Police said no shots were fired and nobody was injured.
The man then allegedly set the van alight, sending smoke billowing across the street as emergency crews descended on the area.
“Smoke pouring out, yeah, like you can see its sort of just enclosed in, so all the smoke’s coming across the street, you can see it from the balcony,” a resident said.
The incident triggered a major search involving more than 50 officers, including the riot squad, while a police helicopter circled overhead.
Nearby businesses were evacuated and Dulwich Hill Public School was placed into lockdown.
Investigators have released a grainy image taken from nearby Union Street as they try to track down the gunman.
He has been described as in his 20s, about 160 centimetres tall, with a thin build and shaggy brown hair.
He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and long black pants.
Anyone who sees the man has been warned not to approach him and to call Triple Zero.
