Second child, 1, dies in hospital following Blue Mountains stabbing
A second child has died after a stabbing in the Blue Mountains at the weekend.
Emergency services were called to Waratah Road at Valley Heights about 12.45pm on Sunday after passers-by came across a woman, 42, and three children with stab wounds in and around a parked car.

Several members of the public rushed to help, giving first aid while calling Triple Zero.
A five-year-old boy died at the scene, while two other children – aged 1 and 3 – were critically injured.
Paramedics treated the two surviving children and the woman before taking them to Westmead Children’s Hospital and Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
On Thursday, NSW Police said the one-year-old had died in hospital.
The three-year-old remained in a critical condition.
The woman was previously charged with murder (DV), and two counts of cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder (DV). Police said she will now face another murder charge.
She is set to front Penrith Local Court next month.
