Barangaroo construction site evacuated over suspicious object

The multi-billion-dollar Barangaroo construction site in Sydney has been evacuated over reports of a suspicious object.
NSW Police said a 000 call was received at 6.45am with information about a suspicious object in the CBD construction site.
All personel were evacuated as a precaution and a search is being conducted at the site, a NSW Police spokeswoman said.
In June the site was evacuated over a bomb hoax and a basement fire in March led to evacuations and major disruptions in Sydney CBD.
The Barangaroo area is being redeveloped as a residential and retail hub, with plans for a high-rollers' casino owned by billionaire James Packer.
