Almost every state and territory is expected to get some rain this Easter long weekend, but temperatures will stay mostly warm over the break.

While some states will start the weekend with clear skies, others will be subject to cloudy storm conditions.

Here's what the weather will be like around the country across the Easter long weekend.

New South Wales

Sydney residents are experiencing a sunny top of 29 degrees today.

Conditions on Easter Sunday will be similar, with a maximum temperature forecast of 29 degrees.

The city could be in for showers on Monday, with up to 10mm of rain possible, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.

Australian Capital Territory

Similar weather is occurring in Canberra.

Today is a sunny top of 26 degrees with light winds.

There is a medium chance of showers forecast for tomorrow, most likely during the evening, however, temperatures will stay warm and sunny for most of Easter Sunday.

Starting off with a sunny top of 29 degrees today, Brisbane is set to see sunny conditions over the long weekend.

There's a small chance of this afternoon, but no rain is forecast.

Tomorrow will be sunny with tops of 29 degrees with a slight chance of rain.

Temperatures will remain high on Monday, with a slight chance of showers on Monday afternoon.

Victoria

Melbourne residents are experiencing a warm and sunny top of 28 degrees today.

They can expect a cloudy day tomorrow with a very high chance of showers and potentially thunderstorms. Temperatures will stay high at 26 degrees.

Temperatures will drop to 20 degrees on Easter Monday but showers are expected to continue.

A partly cloudy day is expected tomorrow with a very high chance of showers and maximum temperatures of 20 degrees.

Monday will be partly cloudy with a high chance of showers.

Tasmania

There is a high chance of showers today, most likely in the evening.

This will continue into tomorrow with 6mm expected in the morning.
