She joined the digital news team in January 2021 after more than five years at Australian Community Media. During that time she reported on the 2019-20 black summer bushfires, major floods and a record-breaking drought. Education
Emily completed a Bachelor of Communication and Media (Journalism) at the University of Wollongong and a newspaper cadetship with Fairfax Media.
During her studies she gained on-the-job experience through opportunities at Fairfax Media, WAN-IFRA, UNESCO and The Walkley Foundation.
