Boy dies after falling into curry pot

A four-year-old Indian boy has died in hospital of his injuries after falling into a hot pot of curry.
Police say the accident happened on Monday when the child was playing near the pot.
The boy's family, from the city of Shabad in the southern state of Telangana, were holding a party at the time.
He died a day later in hospital because of severe burns.
The region is known for Sambar, or sambhar, a spicy vegetable stew or curry-style dish which is popular in southern India.
It is served boiling hot and brewed in giant vessels.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
