US teen bodyslammed by cop demands he face charges

A teenage girl who was bodyslammed by a policeman in Texas during a pool party has demanded he face criminal charges.

Officer Eric Casebolt was filmed throwing Dajerria Becton, 14, onto the ground and pulling her hair outside the Craig Ranch Community Pool in McKinney, north of Dallas, on Friday.

He then pulled his gun on several others, prompting a teenage boy to flee.

Police were reportedly called because a group of teenagers were using the pool without permission and had refused to leave.

Officer Casebolt has since been suspended, pending an investigation.

"Him getting fired is not enough," Ms Becton said.

"He grabbed me, twisted my arm on my back and shoved me in the grass and started pulling the back of my braids," Ms Becton told told FOX 4 News.

"I was telling him to get off me because my back was hurting bad."

The host of the party, Tatiana Rhodes, 19, said her friends were racially abused by a group of white women who live in the neighbourhood.

"They told us to go back to our Section 8 (housing commission) homes," she said.

"I said 'excuse me?' and one of them slapped me in the face."

The teens were at the pool as part of a end-of-school-year party, and had been given guest passes to swim.

McKinney Police Department said the investigation is ongoing.
