Mother nature and man do battle in sky

Mother nature and man have put on a show of spectacular proportions after lightning clashed with a fireworks display in Florida.

Crowds attending Fourth of July celebrations in both Brandon and Tampa were treated to the rare sight, WFTS-TV reports.

Video footage shows the man-made and natural fireworks battling for supremacy in the skies.

It was a stormy day in Tampa yesterday but most of the storms were dying out by the time the pyrotechnic displays were ignited.

However, some storms lingered long enough to make the incredible display possible.
