UAE says it has repelled hundreds of missiles and drones
The United Arab Emirates said that it possesses all defence capabilities and ammunition stockpiles to protect itself "regardless of the time frame and the length of the escalation period in the region".
The country's defence ministry said in a briefing on Tuesday that it has so far repelled hundreds of ballistic missiles and drones fired into the country.
It said a total of 186 missiles and 812 drones were fired towards the country since the weekend.
Ministry spokesperson Abdel Nassir al-Hameedi said injuries that resulted from the Iranian attacks and what he called "minor damages" were the result of shrapnel from interception efforts, not a result of successful attacks against the country.
Aim to 'cripple' Iran's regime, ex-soldier says
A former Israeli soldier has told CNN the "end goal" for Israel is to "cripple" the Islamic regime in Iran.
"The end goal at this stage is to try to cripple," Miri Eisin told CNN's Elex Michaelson.
"That doesn't mean demolish, but to cripple the capabilities the Islamic regime have in Iran."
Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said earlier today that it had struck Hezbollah's "centres of gravity" as it continued to pound Tehran and Lebanon.
IDF spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin claimed Hezbollah still "has launch capabilities into Israel".
"It retains missile stockpiles, although they have been significantly damaged – both missiles and UAVs (drones)," he said earlier today.
Here's a summary of the latest on the war
The conflict in the Middle East is now in its fourth day, after the US and Israel attacked Iran on Saturday, and Tehran retaliated by launching strikes on its neighbours.
Hundreds of people have now died, including more than 160 Iranian school children, according to state media, as well as multiple US service members.
This is the latest, compiled by CNN:
At least 787 people have been killed by US and Israeli bombing across Iran since Saturday, the Iranian Red Crescent said today.
Israel has said it is conducting "simultaneous strikes in Tehran and Beirut", claiming it has struck Hezbollah "centre of gravity" in Beirut.
Funerals have begun for the dozens of young students killed in their classrooms on the first day of the US-Israeli bombardment of Iran.
Iran's foreign ministry has accused the US and Israel of war crimes, claiming that civilian infrastructure had been deliberately targeted.
US embassies in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have been hit in strikes amid Iranian bombardment, sources told CNN. They have since closed.
Non-emergency US government personnel in Jordan, Bahrain, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates have been ordered to depart due to security concerns.
Six US service members have now died following a direct Iranian strike on a makeshift operations centre at a civilian port in Kuwait on Sunday.
Thousands gather at mass funeral for children killed in US-Israeli strikes on school
Massive crowds have gathered in the southern Iranian city of Minab to mourn the deaths of at least 168 children and 14 teachers killed in the US-Israeli attack on a girls' elementary school on Saturday, according to state media.
Some mourners held pictures of the children killed – some as young as 7 – a stark reminder of the human tragedy at the heart of this escalating conflict. While few details have emerged about those killed in the strikes in Iran, at least 780 people have been killed across 153 counties, according to the Iranian Red Crescent.
Video and imagery from the funeral showed crowds of mourners reciting prayers around small coffins draped in the Iranian flag.

Earlier, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused the US and Israel of killing the children in a post to X, which was accompanied by an image (below) of freshly dug graves.
"These are graves being dug for more than 160 innocent young girls who were killed in the US-Israeli bombing of a primary school. Their bodies were torn to shreds," Araghchi said.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Mark Rubio told reporters on Monday that the US "would not deliberately target a school".
"The Department of War would be investigating that if that was our strike, and I would refer your question to them," he said.
It comes as Israel continues to escalate its strikes in Iran, with imagery emerging on Tuesday from Tehran of residential blocks turned into rubble.

Israel says it struck Hezbollah "centre of gravity" in Beirut
Israel says it has struck Hezbollah "centres of gravity" in the latest wave of strikes in Beirut, as plumes of smoke were seen from impact sites in the Lebanese capital.
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said the strikes targeted command centres, weapons storage facilities, and more that belonged to Hezbollah's intelligence headquarters.
"These assets were operating under civilian cover," the IDF claimed.

Iran accuses US and Israel of war crimes
Iran's Foreign Ministry has accused the US and Israel of war crimes.
Iran claimed civilian infrastructure was deliberately targeted, including a girls' school in the southern city of Minab where more than 160 students were killed on the first day of the war.
The ministry also said a hospital in Tehran had been struck.
Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said in a post on X the attacks came "despite the aggressors' claims of possessing the most advanced military hardware and precision-targeting systems".
"The deliberate targeting and destruction of civilian infrastructure, medical facilities, schools, and media institutions by the United States and Israel, with the aim of paralysing civilian life, constitute blatant war crime and crimes against humanity," Baqaei said.
The World Health Organisation is working to verify the incident at Tehran's Gandhi Hospital, director-general Tedros Ghebreyesus said.
On the school strike, US Central Command spokesperson Tim Hawkins said "we are aware of reports concerning civilian harm resulting from ongoing military operations".
"We take these reports seriously and are looking into them," Hawkins said.
Lebanese army evacuating 'advanced positions' along Israeli border
The Lebanese army is evacuating some of its positions along the border with Israel, the country's state-run National News Agency says.
The agency said the troops are redeploying to other posts.
The report comes after the Israel Defence Force said its soldiers "are operating in southern Lebanon".
The military said in a statement posted to X that its troops were positioned at several points near the border as a part of an "enhanced forward defence posture".
"We are conducting targeted strikes against Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure," the military said.
Qatar Airways flights remain suspended
Qatar Airways flights will remain grounded due to the closure of Qatari airspace.
The airline said in its latest update about 5pm it would resume operations once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority announces the safe reopening of Qatari airspace.
The company is expected to provide its next update tomorrow at 9am Doha time (tomorrow at 5pm AEDT).
Israel Defence Force confirms 'simultaneous' strikes on Beirut and Tehran
The Israel Defence Force (IDF) has confirmed it launched strikes on Tehran and Beirut.
"The IDF is currently conducting simultaneous targeted strikes against military targets in Tehran and Beirut," the military said in a statement posted to X.
Earlier the military said it had struck Iranian missile launchers and air defences used to "target Israeli Air Force aircraft."
