Man reportedly arrested in France for planning attack on tourists

A 22-year-old man has reportedly been arrested in France over suspicions he was planning to attack American and Russian tourists.

The suspect had gone to the southwestern city of Carcassone "with a view to carrying out a violent act, in particular targeting Americans and Russians," a judicial source said.

A source close to the investigation said the suspect was arrested in possession of a knife and a small mallet.
