A Florida dog who strayed too far from home has had a run in with local authorities, resulting in what has to be one of the cutest mugshots ever.
Tarpon Springs Police Department have described in a Facebook post on July 11 how they “captured” naughty pooch Willow after she “wandered away from home”.
“Willow refused to tell officers where she lived, so she was taken to the (police department), where she was booked and photographed,” the department joked.
“She was very cooperative with officers and probably one of the most friendly prisoners we've ever had in custody.
“Just a little short for her booking photo so she needed assistance getting to the right height.”
An accompanying photo shows one officer holding the uncomprehending dog up to eye level so her mugshot can be taken.
Another photo shows Willow’s paw pressed to a fingerprint card.
The post said that Willow’s owners later came and “bonded her out”, confirming the dog is now “home safe and sound”.
