Chan's death row reunion with fiancee

Andrew Chan will see his fiancee for the first time since she was turned away from Kerobokan jail on the dramatic morning of his departure.

Febyanti Herewila, known as Feby, arrived at Cilacap port on Wednesday morning with other family members of Chan and those of his fellow Bali Nine member Myuran Sukumaran.

Feby tried to see Chan, who proposed to her last month, on the morning he was removed from his Bali cell for Nusakambangan island, but was turned away from the jail in tears.

Sukumaran's brother Chintu made a brief statement before reporters at the port of Cilacap.

He said he was hopeful Indonesian President Joko Widodo would see the work the men had done to rehabilitate Indonesian prisoners, and have mercy on his family.

"We're grateful to the Indonesian justice system for this and all we ask is that they be able to spend the rest of their life in prison and not be executed," he said.

It's the second family visit for the condemned Australians since they arrived at Nusakambangan, where they and seven other drug felons are awaiting execution.

A tenth inmate, Filipino Mary Jane Fiesta Veloso, has yet to be incarcerated on "Indonesia's Alcatraz" and Jakarta has indicated it's waiting on a Supreme Court decision on her judicial review before setting an execution date.

The prisoners will get 72 hours' notice of their executions.
