Bride almost drowns during 'trash the dress' ritual
Amy Zuno was captured on camera jumping off the side a boat in Jamaica's Montego Bay on her wedding day in order to "trash the dress".
"I hope she doesn't sink," one guest can be heard remarking amid the cheers and laughter as Ms Zuno prepares to jump towards her new husband, Eric.
But their boozy mirth quickly turns to fear moments after Ms Zuno hits the water, as she is engulfed by the dress and dragged under the water's surface.
"Find her," someone can be heard shouting as Ms Zuno begins to sink, her head covered by the dress.
"I felt the weight of the dress on me," Ms Zuno told Inside Edition.
"I heard screaming and people jumping into the water so then I was like, okay, maybe I just got married and I'm going to die today."
She wouldn't have been the first – in 2012, a 30-year-old woman drowned after attempting something similar in a Canadian river.
