Breastfeeding mother attempts to break-up tram brawl

A breastfeeding Serbian mother has put herself and her baby in harm's way in a bid to end a brawl between two men on a tram.

In mobile phone-filmed footage, a bearded man and a woman are seen coming to blows.

Another man then approaches the warring couple and appears to attempt to strike the other man in the face.

As the three are locked in a fist fight, the mother - whose young child appears to be suckling from her breast - intervenes.

For around ten seconds, the woman attempts to interject herself between the fighting men.

One of the men then strikes her from behind, before the brawl moves further down the tram carriage and out of the camera's sight.

It is unknown when the attack occurred, however it was uploaded to YouTube last Tuesday.

The video's uploader claims it was a brawl between gypsies in the New Belgrade district of Serbia's capital.
