The team behind Travel Guides pay tribute to those affected by the Moroccan earthquake after visiting the country last year
The team behind Travel Guides have shared touching tributes to the people who have been affected by the devastating Moroccan earthquake after filming in the country last year.
Friday's earthquake – the strongest in Morocco in more than a century – killed at least 2,900 people.
The guides filmed in the country last year, visiting Marrakesh and villages in the High-Atlas Mountains.
Some of those they met have tragically lost their lives, and the entire team share their heartfelt condolences to all of those impacted by the disaster.

In a statement, the team behind Travel Guides said: "The entire Travel Guides family is shocked and saddened at the terrible news of the earthquake that struck Morocco this week.
"In December 2022 our cast and crew had the privilege of filming an episode in the city of Marrakesh, and the Ourigane Valley in the Atlas Mountains.
"News has filtered through that the traditional Berber village where we filmed has been reduced to rubble, and some of the beautiful people who welcomed us into their homes have passed away.

"Our entire production team was treated with such kindness by the Moroccan people wherever we went, and to know that they're going through such tragedy at this time is beyond devastating.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected."
Matt and Brett said: "During our recent trip to Morocco we visited a Berber village in the Atlas Mountains, close to the epicentre of the devastating earthquake.
"We shared an unforgettable afternoon with an extended family who welcomed us into their home with open arms inviting us to afternoon tea and a meal.

"This hospitality typifies the Moroccan people, and is why we know that they will all be looking after each other at this difficult time.
"We are very saddened and mourn with the family we met for those they have lost and hope that they can in time, rebuild their homes and lives."
"One of the things that struck us about Morocco was the people," Kevin and Janetta said.
"This is one of the most hospitable countries in the world; we love the people. One of the things about travel is you form a connection with the people you meet. You're also aware of what's happening in their part of the world.
"When we hear what's happened in Morocco, our hearts break."

They continued: "The essence of Morocco is found in the people. We're devastated by what has happened to the villages and cities we visited last year.
"We know we've lost some of those wonderful and welcoming people in the earthquake. And for those who have lost friends, families and homes, we can only imagine your grief."
