Exclusive: Travel Guides Kevin and Janetta reveal how they really feel about 'two-word insult' that catapulted them to national TV

EXCLUSIVE: Some might consider it an insult but Travel Guides stars Kevin and Janetta embrace being labelled "travel snobs".

In fact, in an exclusive video you can watch above, the pair make no apologies for it.

Of course, it's an endearing nickname Kevin and Janetta were given for their luxe taste and it's stuck with them since the start of filming the show in 2016.

"If travelling business class and five-star hotels and fine wine make you a snob...we'll wear that label," Kevin and Janetta said with a smile.

Kevin posed a simple question: "There's two tickets, economy or business class. Which one are you taking?"

We'll take the business class flight thanks!

There's one travel practice Kevin and Janetta refused to give up and that was dressing up for a flight.

While most flyers would settle for a pair of tracksuit pants, the "travel snobs" still thought there was "a glamour in travel" that called for a more formal outfit.

Kevin and Janetta weren't bothered by people who might judge their taste for the finer things in life.

"That's what you work for all your life and that's the stage of life that we're at," he said.

Janetta explained their travel style wasn't a case of first-class only.

"We're also happy to fly economy because my theory is if you can save $10,000 on a flight that's $10,000 you can spend on food, wine and accomodation on the other end."

Kevin admitted his and Janetta's travel style had "evolved" over the years.

"You become more confident and you're not afraid to admit the kind of travel that you like," he said.
