"Thailand is a tropical paradise," says Kev. "Not only can Thailand be done on a budget, it should be done on a budget."

Joining Kev in answering that question were best mates Dorian and Teng, 'travel snobs' Kevin and Janetta, the Fren Family, besties Karly and Bri, plus hilarious duo Matt and Brett who touched down in the island paradise of Koh Samui.

The Guides flew economy to Koh Samui, via Singapore on Scoot airlines from $281 one way.
It was there they checked into their delightfully surprising budget accommodation:
With dorm rooms costing $20 a night to private suits with million dollar views, Matt and Brett were certainly chuffed.
"Look at that view!" Matt gushed. "This is such a surprise. We are getting a sea-view room for less than $150 a night."

For a more cultural experience, the Guides highly recommended Thailand's vibrant floating markets:
Travellers can stop on their way back to Bangkok, an experience the Fren Family couldn't get enough of.
It was the perfect place to spend a few cheap bucks.
"I loved the floating markets," praised Mark. "It was a real way to meet [local] Thai people producing food of such high quality, that was definitely the highlight, we loved it."

And if markets aren't your thing, travellers can marvel over one of the 45,000 Buddhist temples spread across Thailand. The capital contains some of the most country's spectacular.
"Thailand is nothing short of incredible," Kev rated their holiday.
While Matt summed it up: "It's the best budget holiday money can buy."
