Jess Golding Motorsports
Jess Golding is a state and national karting race champion. After reaching her own checkered flag, she has stepped into the pits to lead other passionate racers onto their own podiums and to ensure that she remains living in the fastlane, both on and off the tracks.
Jess started Kart racing at ten years old where she won race after race, joining the ranks of the small but inspiring group of female national champions. Her experience led her to establish Jess Golding Motorsport to help create a pathway for young female racers. There, she offers up her years of experience to coach and give the opportunities that she never received to a new generation.
Roadside Relics
Mike Munday’s lifelong fascination with forgotten treasures led him to open Roadside Relics in Gympie, a haven for unusual and meaningful items. For Mike, collecting isn’t about profit, it’s a mission of discovery and preservation. He believes every object has a story, and he meticulously finds them new homes where they’ll be cherished.
From quirky antiques to everyday relics, his collection connects people to the past and encourages them to find history in their surroundings. Mike's quiet dedication celebrates the joy of unearthing treasures and preserving the memories they hold.
Historic Leyburn Sprints
Over 75yrs ago the town of Leyburn hosted Queensland’s first-ever motor grand prix. Realising the significance of being a part of Australian motor racing history, the town came together to put on the Historic Leyburn Sprints for the 50th anniversary of the event, and has since become a yearly car-lovers classic.
Event president Tricia Chant, whose parents’ started the event, invites any and all to celebrate Australia’s deep racing heritage through the thrill of racing.
Dialed Offroad
Introduced to extreme 4WDing by his dad at just 6 years old, Mitch Thorpe grew up tackling and competing in some of Australia’s biggest off-road events. Drawn by the thrill of testing both himself and his vehicle, he taught himself to weld, fabricate and continually improve his own race cars.
That passion became Dialed Offroad, where he now designs and builds high performance off-road vehicles for fellow competitors. Along the way, he’s found more than just a sport, he’s also found a close-knit community of lifelong mates brought together by a shared passion for off-roading.
