Contestants could win big or lose everything in epic new trailer for Tipping Point Australia

The wait is almost over for the game show phenomenon, Tipping Point Australia.

The brand new series will air weekdays at 5pm on Channel 9 and 9Now from Monday January 29, after captivating audiences overseas for years.

And in a sneak peek of the new season – which you can watch above – we see just how wild things are about to get for the contestants.

Tipping Point Australia premieres Monday January 29 at 5pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

The game begins with three players answering general knowledge questions hoping to win counters which can be used on a large coin pusher, arcade-style machine.

In the trailer, we see the show's host and sporting legend Todd Woodbridge give some of the contestants the chance to win big.

"One counter for a shot at $40,000 dollars," he teases. "Two counters at $20,000, and I'll also throw in a holiday!"

Now there's a tempting twist!

But he also has one warning for those who dare to take the risk.

"If you don't get that jackpot, you leave here with nothing," he explains. Gulp.

Contestants from all over Australia will have the chance to win mystery prizes along with cash prizes, if they can beat the machine.

With a jaw-dropping jackpot up for grabs, who will reach their Tipping Point and who will win and take home the cash?

Only time will tell what twists and turns we'll see in the show – and as an added bonus, it premieres the very same day as Married At First Sight.
