'No one deserves it more': Watch paramedic Nathan win major jackpot after beating opponents with 'smiling assassin' move on Tipping Point Australia
With strategic gameplay and a positive attitude, NSW man Nathan Metcalfe won more than just a huge jackpot from Tipping Point Australia: the 51-year-old also walked away with a brand new nickname.
Nathan, a paramedic, told host Todd Woodbridge if he won, he would use the money to buy a caravan to travel around Australia in, while also practicing his surprising side hustle: tattooing.

Nathan's mobile tattooing business is certainly a possibility now, after he played one of the most strategic Tipping Point games ever seen, leading Todd to nickname him "the smiling assassin".

He faced off against worthy opponents in secondary teacher Marisa and expectant mother Rose, both from Victoria but Nathan's strategy came out immediately.
He passed early turns to his competitors, allowing them to use up their counters until the machine's looked ready to fall and earn him the cash.

It paid off, helping Nathan sail into the later rounds. After beating Rose in the head-to-head, he entered the jackpot round with a total of $2300 in the bank.
He managed to build up to $4700 when a perfectly placed counter looked like it was going to knock the jackpot counter over the tipping point, securing him $20,000.
Host Todd Woodbridge could barely contain his excitement.

"Nathan! Get ready to ride the caravan, here it comes! Here it comes," he yelled.
But in a cruel twist, the jackpot counter remained teetering halfway over the edge.
"Are you joking? Never has it done this before. I mean, talk about excruciating," Todd exclaimed.

Thankfully, Nathan had two categories left to play and successfully guessed the answer to a fashion question for three counters.
In the end he needed just one, which sent the jackpot – finally – over the edge and started the celebrations.

"Take a look at that. $20,000, it is yours. You're going to get that caravan," Todd told him.
"No one deserves it more than you. You're a paramedic, you've done amazing work for our community for 20-plus years."
