Father always knows best, and ex-cop Richard learned that the hard way when he lost $20,000 after he failed to listen to his 96-year-old dad on Tipping Point Australia.
But when the 51-year-old returned a second time for a special redemption round, nobody could've predicted what happened next.

Richard fumbled $20k during his first Tipping Point appearance with his 96-year-old dad. Nine
During his first appearance on the show, Richard gambled $6,500 in the hopes of $20,000.
It was something his dad strongly advised against, and Richard then failed to secure the $20,000 temptation jackpot.
Now he was back for a second time to try make things up to the biggest Tipping Point fan in his life, his 96-year-old dad.
The leadership trainer and former policeman overcame nutritionist Charity and project manager Kai to make it back to the Jackpot Round.
This time, he found himself in the enviable position of having $4,200 in the bank, with the $20,000 Jackpot just one push away.

The gold counter sat halfway over the Tipping Point and host Todd Woodbridge couldn't help but point out a sense of déjà vu.
"You have teetered over the edge of a Jackpot victory before," Todd said. "The difference now is that we have one more category left to play."
That's when the pressure really mounted, as Richard successfully guessed the answer to an art-related question to earn himself three more counters.
"I would love to not have to go to Temptation today," Todd reacted. "Redemption is on the edge of the Tipping Point."
Richard nervously put the first counter in the machine, but it fell to the wrong side and was a bust.

He then wasted no time continuing with his second and thankfully, this time it was perfectly placed.
"Come on machine, come on machine," he coached.
