Andy Lee shares 'sad' throwback to when he and fiancée Rebecca Harding broke up, but one sweet detail sends fans wild

Andy Lee has looked back on his past breakup with now fiancée Rebecca Harding, and there was one sweet detail that sent fans wild.

The Hundred host shared a photo 'memory' to his Instagram over the weekend, only this throwback was particularly sad.

"🚨Potentially corny post alert 🚨," Andy began in the caption.

"Just got served a random pic from 'Memories' and it's a photo I took in 2016 while sad in a gallery in Brussels," he continued. "Bec and I had broken up."

Andy and Bec first went public with their relationship in January 2015. More than a year and a half later, Andy announced that he and Bec had split.

After about six months apart, Andy and Bec would rekindle their relationship – but Andy didn't know it yet...

"I only went to the gallery cause I thought she would have liked it," Andy continued.

"I walked past a store window later that day and saw this toy dog that I thought she would like as well. I don't remember taking either of these photos but things did turn out ❤️ 🐕."

Fans rushed to the comments of Andy's post with many saying their love story was "meant to be".

"Aww, this melted my heart... The world works in mysterious ways. A story of soulmates I believe 🙌," one follower commented.

"Funny how the world works. ❤️," said another.

The second photo, however, of the "toy dog" Andy spotted after their break up, drew a striking resemblance to their now pet dog Henrietta – who they adopted in 2021 .

"Does that dog look like henry or what!? 😮," said one follower in a comment that's amassed close to 300 likes.

"It bears a remarkable resemblance," a second agreed.

"Now [she's] your FIANCÉ and you have a beautiful real doggo Henri!" pointed out a third.

"Manifesting at its finest ❤️," wrote a fourth.

At the time of their breakup, Andy revealed life in the public eye took its toll on Bec, who found herself wondering if she got a job or made friends simply because of who she was dating.

Andy described their time apart as a "really sad, tough time" for him, while she appeared to get "her spark back" quickly after the split.

Still pining for his former girlfriend six months later, Andy decided to try to win back Bec. And it worked!

By the time the Logies rolled around in April 2017, Andy took Bec as his date.

Fast forward to May 2024, Andy revealed he had popped the question after nearly 10 years together.

"I asked Bec to marry me on Sunday," Andy announced during an episode of the Hamish & Andy podcast.

Hours later, the couple showed off the engagement ring in a joint Instagram announcement.

Posting a loved-up photo, showing off the ring, they wrote, "People keep saying we rushed into this, but we don't care what people say."

With a wedding to plan, Andy and Bec are also currently renovating a stunning 1876 Melbourne property together, which will soon be their home.

As they've begun cleaning up the place, Andy revealed he made quite the unusual discovery in the house.
